Camille Cosby, the wife of Hollywood’s latest tainted star, Bill Cosby, broke her silence about the multitude of rape and sexual assault allegations that have been slung her husband’s way and said the charges were false — that her man of 50 married years is not a predator.
Rather, he’s a “kind man, a generous man, a funny man and a wonderful husband, father and friend,” she said in her first public statement on the allegations swirling around her husband, CBS News reported.
Mrs. Cosby also said that she and her husband met in 1963, were married in 1964, and that the “man I met and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. … He is the man you thought you knew,” CBS News reported.
Mrs. Cosby then said the media has wrongly portrayed her husband in the last two months and given credence to individuals who don’t deserve it, or who haven’t been properly vetted.
“There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired,” she said in her statement. “An accusation is published and immediately goes viral.”
Mrs. Cosby then pointed to the false rape report in “Rolling Stone” magazine that has been making national headlines and suggested the public ought to withhold judgment on her husband.

“[That] story was heart-breaking but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue,” she said. “Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband — until that story unwound. None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked — who is the victim?”
Her comments came on the heels of yet another woman, former supermodel Beverly Johnson, now 62, claiming she was drugged by Mr. Cosby.
