Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen have been banned from entering Nicaragua by President Daniel Ortega.

The travel ban comes on the heels of the two congressional members’ support of sanctions against Venezuela.

“Just like they have their lists, we can make our own lists in Latin America of those who shouldn’t enter our country,” Mr. Ortega said to The Tico Times, a newspaper in Costa Rica.

The prohibition doesn’t really seem to bother Mr. Rubio who tweeted, the Miami Herald reported: “Oh no! My summer vacation plans are ruined!”

The sanctions that Mr. Rubio and Ms. Ros-Lehtinen supported target high-ranking Venezuelan officials, ban them from traveling to the United States and freeze their U.S. assets.
