The producers of the James Bond movie series, Eon Productions, said their newest screenplay called “SPECTRE” was among the stolen documents in a recent cyberattack on Sony Pictures Entertainment.
And now they’re worried the screenplay might be put out for the highest bidder, Newsmax reported.
Company officials have sent out a preemptive warning to all would-be sellers and buyers, alerting that the document is copyright protected and they will take “all necessary steps” to make sure Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC — the companies that own James Bond movie-related materials — retain those rights, Newsmax said.
North Korea has been widely speculated to be the hacking culprit, but denies involvement.
