DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Daily operations at the National Aviation Hall of Fame’s learning center will be run by a nonprofit historical organization beginning next year in southwestern Ohio.

The Hall of Fame at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force near Dayton says its partnership with Dayton History will begin Jan. 1.

The Learning Center features displays, flight simulators, and interactive exhibits honoring the 225 people enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Dayton History with work to enhance historical interpretation and education programming in the center among other things. The hall’s board of trustees will continue to direct the hall’s annual award activities, public events and other educational programs.

Officials say the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and the Learning Center together attract over one million visitors a year.
