Famed producer Scott Rudin bashed Angelina Jolie as a “minimally talented spoiled brat” from “Crazyland,” according to the latest emails leaked by Sony Pictures.
Mr. Rudin, known for producing blockbuster hits such as “Moneyball” and “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” was outraged Ms. Jolie supposedly tried to lure director David Fincher into directing her “Cleopatra” movie instead of his planned Steve Jobs biopic, the New York Daily News reported.
“YOU BETTER SHUT ANGIE DOWN,” Mr. Rudin allegedly fumed in a February email to Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal.
“I’m not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving [’Cleopatra’] off her plate for 18 months so she could go direct a movie [’Unbroken’],” he wrote.
“Do not [expletive] threaten me,” Ms. Pascal responded.
“What the hell are you talking about? Who’s threatening you? Let me remind you I brought this material to you and I can off her from it in a phone call,” Mr. Rudin writes of Ms. Jolie playing “Cleopatra,” the New York Post reported. “Don’t for one second even think about trying this [expletive] with me.”

“This will just spin even further out into Crazyland,” he tells Ms. Pascal. “But let me tell you I have zero appetite for the indulgence of spoiled brats and I will tell her this if you don’t.
“She’s a camp event and a celebrity and that’s all, and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming,” he continued. “We will end up being the laughingstock of our industry and we will deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it.”
So far, Sony hasn’t commented on the explosive emails, the latest embarrassment for the studio since its firewall was breached by a group of computer hackers calling itself the GOP, or “Guardians of Peace.”
