FOREST, Va. (AP) - Poplar Forest is giving visitors an opportunity to see what evenings might have been like for President Thomas Jefferson and his family.

The historic attraction will conduct candlelight tours on four evenings this month. The tours of Jefferson’s octagon house are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 11, Dec. 18 and Dec. 20.

The tours will include the parlor, which housed Jefferson’s library, and the east bedchamber where his grandchildren slept.

Reservations are required. Admission is $20 per person.
