Alec Baldwin showed his smoother side this week, effortlessly reaching out and grabbing a tennis ball that sailed into his stadium seat 12 feet or so above ground level during a U.S. Open match this week.

Mr. Baldwin, the star of “30 Rock,” was attending Maria Sharapova’s opening match, People magazine reported.

A mis-hit ball bounced from the court into his front-row seat, about 12 feet from ground level, and the actor reached out and calmly grabbed it, holding it up slightly for the crowd to see.

Mr. Baldwin then tossed it back to the ball boy, People reported.
