New York real estate mogul Donald Trump has endorsed former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown’s bid for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire.

WMUR reported that Mr. Trump said via Twitter on Monday that Mr. Brown is the “most competitive GOP option against Obama’s amnesty loving (Sen. Jeanne Shaheen). He can win!”

Mr. Brown is running for the GOP nomination in the Sept. 9 primary against former New Hampshire Sen. Bob Smith and former state Sen. Jim Rubens. The winner will face off against Mrs. Shaheen, a Democrat.

A recent poll showed that Mr. Brown is running in dead heat with Mrs. Shaheen in a hypothetical general election showdown.
