A man in Arlington, Virginia, will not face charges for beating a woman because he is a diplomat with full immunity, a local ABC News affiliate reported Tuesday.
“The subject has full diplomatic immunity and was not arrested,” Arlington police said in a report obtained by ABC.
Police were called to the home 9:30 pm Monday in the 4000 block of N. 27th Road on reports that a man had beaten a woman with a wooden chair leg during a domestic argument.
The woman was taken to Virginia Hospital Center with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, ABC reported.
