Iran claims to have shot down an Israeli stealth drone that was flying the skies above the Natanz uranium enrichment site.

“A spy drone of the Zionist regime was brought down by a missile,” the Revolutionary Guard said in a statement reported by Agence France-Presse. “This stealth drone was trying to approach the Natanz nuclear zone. This act demonstrates a new adventurism by the Zionist regime.”

The Guard threatened repercussions.

“The Revolutionary Guard and the other armed forces reserve the right to respond to this act,” the statement went on, AFP reported.

A spokesman for Israel’s government declined to confirm or deny, saying the military does “not address foreign media reports,” according to AFP.

Natanz is the main uranium enrichment site in Iran and houses more than 16,000 centrifuges.
