North Korea continued burn diplomatic bridges on Wednesday, calling U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry a “wolf” with a “hideous lantern jaw.” Kim Jong-un’s regime has released racist statements aimed at President Obama and called South Korean President Park Geun-hye a prostitute at the start of the year.
Wednesday’s outburst was made by an unidentified policy department spokesman at the North Korean defense commission, who also referred to Mr. Kerry as a “wolf donning the mask of sheep,” The Associated Press reported. The commission is led by Mr. Kim.
The bellicose rhetoric comes as Washington and Seoul are conducting annual military drills, AP reported. North Korea says the military exercises belie Mr. Kerry’s position that the U.S. wants peace on the Korean Peninsula.
“[Kerry’s] behavior fully revealed once again the U.S. inveterate nature as a hypocrite who has deceived and mocked mankind with all sorts of gimmicks,” the spokesman added, AP reported.
