Joel McHale is a class act. The star of the cult comedy “Community” took a minute at the end of his regular hosting duties of the E! television show “The Soup” to pay tribute to comic actor Robin Williams who died Monday at age 63.
Mr. McHale mentioned the various tributes to Mr. Williams that cited the comic’s warmth and generosity of spirit, calling those and other accolades “all true.”
This was the second time since Mr. Williams’ death that Mr. McHale, who’s known for his bitingly funny take on pop culture, paid tribute to the legendary comic.
He also tweeted: “RIP @robinwilliams You were one of the very best that ever was. You were one of my heroes. #RobinWilliams.”
Mr. McHale worked with Mr. Williams last year, when they joined Candice Bergen, Lauren Graham and Oliver Platt in the holiday comedy “A Merry Friggin’ Christmas.” The film appears to be set for release in November.
