OAKLAND, Iowa (AP) - Authorities have identified a woman killed in the western Iowa city of Oakland.

The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil reports (https://bit.ly/1erZJLl ) the woman killed was 64-year-old Patricia Kinkade-Dorsey, of rural Cass County.

Police found her body early Tuesday after someone called 911 to report a woman had been shot.

Authorities have charged 63-year-old Robert A. Reynolds with first-degree murder. He made his initial court appearance Wednesday and will next appear in court April 18.

Reynolds is being held without bond at the Pottawattamie County Jail.

According to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday, Reynolds acknowledged shooting Kinkade-Dorsey after an argument.

It’s believed to be the first homicide in Oakland since 2006. Oakland is about 30 miles east of Council Bluffs.

An attorney for Reynolds couldn’t be reached Wednesday.
