COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is delivering the commencement address at the University of South Carolina next month.

University spokeswoman Megan Sexton says Biden is the first sitting vice president to give a commencement address at the school.

Biden will address graduates from the Darla Moore School of Business, the College of Mass Communications and Information Studies, the College of Nursing, the South Carolina College of Pharmacy and the Arnold School of Public Health. The address is set for May 9 at the Colonial Life Arena,

Biden will receive an honorary of doctor of public administration degree.
