COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Five experts from the University of South Carolina are scheduled to discuss the ongoing crisis between Russia and the Ukraine.

The discussion is scheduled for Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Gambrell Hall on the campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists include Robert Cox, director of the Walker Institute of International and Area Studies, Yarslaw Bazaliy, an associate professor of physics and Ukraine native, and history professor and Russian native Elena Osokina. Professor emeritus of political science Gordon Smith as well as Evgeny Anikin, a doctoral student in political science who teaches on Russian government, are also taking set to participate.

Charles Bierbauer, dean of the College of Mass Communications and Information Studies, is the moderator. He served as ABC’s Moscow bureau chief.
