MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Twins have placed right fielder Oswaldo Arcia on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right wrist.

The move was made after Wednesday’s game against Oakland, retroactive to Saturday. Arcia sat out for the fourth straight game with the injury. He took full part in batting practice but still felt discomfort afterward. With left fielder Josh Willingham also hurting since he was hit Sunday on the left wrist by a pitch, the Twins couldn’t wait longer for Arcia to heal.

The contract of outfielder Darin Mastroianni was selected from Triple-A Rochester. Mastroianni played in 30 games last season for the Twins, batting .185 in 65 at-bats.
