LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Professional skateboarder and punk rocker Duane Peters has pleaded guilty to domestic violence over a fight with his girlfriend.

Los Angeles County prosecutors say Peters entered the plea Wednesday.

He was sentenced to 60 days of community service and ordered to attend domestic violence counseling for a year.

He also must stay away from his girlfriend for 10 years.

The 52-year-old Peters was arrested in February for assaulting the woman at the Long Beach home they shared. Authorities say she suffered moderate injuries.

Peters has been a skateboarder since the 1970s. Nicknamed the “Master of Disaster,” he is credited with inventing several moves. He also has been the front man for the punk band U.S. Bombs.
