BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A toy store employee who admits he killed a manager last June has pleaded guilty to additional charges.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo says Bernard Grucza (GROOZ-uh) pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing a gun while there was a restraining order against him. He also admitted he stole $223,000 worth of merchandise and cash from his employer, Toys R Us.

Grucza’s appearance in federal court came one day after he pleaded guilty in state Supreme Court to a charge of manslaughter in the stabbing death of Laurence Wells II at a Toys R Us store in the Buffalo suburb of Hamburg.

Authorities say Grucza entered the store where he was a loss prevention officer, planning to steal from it, but ran into Wells in a back office and killed him.
