JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville University has hired Tony Jasick as its men’s basketball coach.

Jasick spent the last season as the head coach at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne. He led the Mastodons to a school-record 25 wins last season, including a victory in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.

The 36-year-old Jasick signed a five-year contract with Jacksonville. He replaces Cliff Warren, whose contract was not renewed last month after a third consecutive losing season.

Jasick went 52-47 at IPFW after being promoted to the top job in 2011. He worked with the Mastodons for nine years, moving up from assistant to associate to head coach.

A 2000 graduate of Mars Hill College, Jasick spent time at Middle Tennessee State, Newberry College and North Alabama before joining IPFW in 2005.
