DORTMUND, Germany (AP) - Borussia Dortmund has signed Colombian striker Adrian Ramos from Bundesliga rival Hertha Berlin for next season.
Dortmund says the 28-year-old Ramos, who scored 32 goals and set up 18 more in 89 league appearances for Hertha, has agreed a four-year deal effective July 1.
Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc said, “Ramos is an excellent footballer and one of the best goal-scorers in Germany. His profile fits perfectly with that of Borussia Dortmund.”
German media reported a transfer fee in the region of 9 million euros ($12.4 million).
Ramos has 16 goals in the Bundesliga this season. Only Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic and Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski, both with 17, have more.
Lewandowski is joining Bayern at the end of the season.
