SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - An Army communications unit based in Arizona is preparing for deployment to Southwest Asia.

The 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion at Fort Huachuca ((wah-CHOO’-kuh) on April 17 will hold a ceremony in preparation for deployment.

However, a base spokeswoman says the Army has yet to announce plans to deploy the unit so additional details aren’t available on the timetable or destination.
