DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Court records show a University of Dayton basketball player has been charged with domestic violence and assault.
The records show 20-year-old Devon Scott will be arraigned on the misdemeanor counts in Dayton Municipal Court on Monday. A court official says no attorney is listed for Scott. No home telephone listing was immediately available.
Court records show the alleged assault occurred April 1 at Scott’s Dayton residence.
A university statement says its public safety department presented the charges. The statement says federal privacy laws prevent the university from releasing additional information.
The university says Scott remains in school but has been removed from team activities pending resolution of the charges.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore from Columbus played in 35 of 37 games this season. He averaged 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds.
