SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The city of Sioux Falls is calling artists to submit designs for signs that would help increase the visibility of automatic external defibrillators located in public areas across the city.

Artists who submit a proposal will participate in a contest coordinated by Rural/Metro Ambulance and Sioux Falls Fire Rescue. The top prize is $500.

The contest is designed to increase the public’s awareness of the locations of 10 automatic external defibrillators. The designs will be turned into vinyl prints that will be placed around the defibrillator locations in Sioux Falls.

People of all ages are eligible to participate. Artists have until May 19 to submit a design.
