BYRAM, Miss. (AP) - A man struck by a vehicle on Interstate 55 in Byram on Sunday has been identified as a 51-year-old Pearl resident.
The Clarion-Ledger reports (https://on.thec-l.com/PKpaBV ) Russell Lloyd Conley was fatally injured when he was hit by a truck as he walked on I-55 around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the accident occurred in the construction area where there are no emergency lanes. Police believe Conley may have been walking to get gas for his vehicle, which was disabled on Siwell Road.
The driver of the truck that struck Conley faces no charges.
