NEW YORK (AP) - As he approaches the end of his first 100 days in office, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is continuing to fill out his administration.
De Blasio, a Democrat, appointed four people to his senior staff on Tuesday.
They include Jacques Jiha, who will be the new head of the Department of Finance.
Jiha says a major focus of his job will be to make the city’s property tax system more equitable and ensure that wealthy residents pay their fair share in residency taxes.
De Blasio also named Feniosky Pena-Mora to head the Department of Design and Construction and Lisette Camillo to lead the Office of Contract Services.
He also reappointed David Ehrenberg to head the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation.
De Blasio’s 100th day in office is Thursday.
