WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Wizards forward Nene plans to ease himself back when he returns Wednesday from a knee injury.

Nene expects to see limited minutes when the Wizards host the Charlotte Bobcats in a pivotal game in Eastern Conference playoff seeding.

Nene returned to practice this week for the first time spraining the MCL in his left knee on Feb. 23.

Nene said Tuesday that his whole body is sore and that he needs to get back in his “old condition.”

He has five games to return to full basketball shape in time for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Wizards are trying to fend off the Bobcats. Washington holds the sixth seed in East and leads Charlotte by one game.
