Denver authorities are on the hunt for a bank robber they’re calling the “Good Grammar Bandit” because of his perfectly spelled and punctuated demand notes.
FBI officials said Monday they believe the man robbed four banks in the Denver metro area in the past five days. In each case, he gave a teller a note that was typed and grammatically correct, the Associated Press reported.
Officials made a plea for the public’s help in finding the man. He is described as a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with a slender build.
Surveillance photos from the robberies show him wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a cap and sunglasses. In each robbery, the suspect reportedly entered the bank, presented a demand note and left on foot.
An FBI spokesman would not disclose how much money was taken during the robberies, the AP reported.
