SEATTLE (AP) - King County prosecutors have filed a second-degree murder charge against the former boyfriend of a woman whose body was found on Seattle railroad tracks in July 2013.

The Seattle Times reports (https://is.gd/GQ4NVW ) prosecutors allege that 42-year-old Roger Seela killed April Frederick four days after she was released from the King County Jail. She’d been jailed for investigation of setting Seela on fire with a butane torch.

Police investigators determined the woman had not been hit by a train but had suffered significant head injuries. Seela had been staying at a nearby transient camp. He denied any knowledge of the homicide.

Police say Seela was arrested last week after the Washington State Crime Lab determined his DNA was a match to evidence obtained from the victim. He’s held on $1 million bail.
