Eric Holder presses for technology to make guns ‘more safe’

Eric Holder, fresh off a meeting with technology gurus, went to Congress and pressed for new devices that he said would make guns safer.

“Vice President [Joseph R.] Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and talked about how guns can be made more safe,” Mr. Holder said to congressional members during a recent address, The Blaze reported. “By making them — either through fingerprint identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something you might wear — how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

Mr. Holder said the American public shouldn’t let the issue fade from view. He expressed frustration at the inability for the Obama administration to pass “common sense reforms” for gun control a year ago in the wake of school shootings that outraged the nation.

“It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, while at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis, where people, kids especially, are struck down.”
