CHICAGO (AP) - A new series of free events in Chicago will help entrepreneurs start new businesses and improve existing ones with help from established business leaders.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the program on Monday. It’s called Step Up Chicago and it’s like speed dating for small businesses.

Participants will have one-on-one coaching sessions with experts in accounting, marketing and other business areas.

Participants will move between sessions every 20 minutes and get the chance to speak with several industry leaders about their business. There will be opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs to network with each other.

Chicago’s Small Business Advisory Council and Accion Chicago are holding the Step Up Chicago events throughout the city.
