LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have claimed wide receiver Josh Bellamy off waivers from the Washington Redskins, and signed free agent tight end Matthew Mulligan to a one-year deal.

Bellamy has appeared in eight games over two seasons with Kansas City and Washington, with five kickoff returns for 101 yards and four special teams tackles.

Mulligan, regarded as a terrific blocking tight end, has appeared in 65 games with 24 starts over five NFL seasons. He has 16 catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns during stints with New England last year, St. Louis in 2012 and the New York Jets from 2009-11. Mulligan has also spent time with Miami, Tennessee and Green Bay.
