Authorities say that between four and six people have been injured, and several other trapped in debris, from what they believe is a tornado that touched down in one neighborhood near Jackson, Miss.

John Pope, the fire chief in Collins City in Covington County, said some people are trapped inside the debris of what used to be their homes, ABC reported.

The possible tornado moved through the area at 55 miles per hour with “complete destruction” to some homes and businesses, ABC reported. Vehicles have been damaged in the storm, also.

Emergency response officials say local residents should take cover in an interior room of their home and stay far from windows.
