DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) - Organizers of an annual Detroit-area event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering and technology are asking for entries.

Maker Faire Detroit 2014 will be held July 26-27 at The Henry Ford, the Dearborn attraction that includes Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.

Maker Faire Detroit is looking for a variety of eclectic, diverse and out-of-the-box ideas that highlight the do-it-yourself and tinkerer spirit.

Exhibits and displays can range from student projects, robotics, 3D printers, textile arts and crafts, home energy monitoring, rockets, green tech, radios, vintage computers and game systems, electronics and chemistry projects.

The Henry Ford encourages exhibits that are interactive and highlight the process of making things.

To take part, an entry form must be completed online. The closing date for all entries is June 6.
