TUCSON, Arizona. (AP) - A Tucson-area fire district says a young girl is hospitalized in serious condition following a near-drowning in a residential pool.
The Drexel Heights Fire district says a neighbor had performed CPR and the child nearly 2 years old was conscious when firefighters arrived at the home Sunday afternoon.
According to district spokeswoman Tracy Koslowski, the incident was Pima County’s first water-related incident for 2014.
