MINOT, N.D. (AP) - In a story April 6 that included the bios of GOP candidates, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Doug Goehring was married. He is divorced.

NAME: Brian Kalk

RUNNING FOR: Public Service Commission

CAREER: Served for 20 years in the Marine Corps before retiring as a major in 2006.

EDUCATION: Doctorate in natural resource management from North Dakota State University, where he taught before he was elected to the Public Service Commission.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Elected to Public Service Commission in 2008. Lost to Kevin Cramer in June 2012 primary for U.S. House.

FAMILY: Wife’s name Karen. One daughter.

BIRTHDATE: Dec. 10, 1943, Beulah.

RUNNING FOR: Secretary of State

CAREER: Schoolteacher, marketing analyst. Real estate broker in Fargo for 20 years.

EDUCATION: Graduate of Beulah High School. Degree in business education from Dickinson State University, 1966.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Elected secretary of state, 1992.
