TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona State associate head coach Eric Musselman is leaving the program to pursue other opportunities.

A former NBA head coach, Musselman spent the past two seasons on Herb Sendek’s staff to learn the college game.

Musselman wants to become a head coach again and has been mentioned as a candidate for a few jobs in recent weeks.

Musselman, whose late father Bill was a longtime NBA coach, got his start as a coach at 23 with the CBA’s Rapid City Thrillers and later became the head coach of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings.
