A Twitter employee gave the term “working mom” a whole new meaning Saturday when she live-tweeted the run-up to the birth of her daughter.

Claire Diaz-Ortiz, director of social innovation at the social media website, began tweeting to her 333,000 followers when her water broke in Buenos Aires, where she lives with her husband, Buzzfeed confirmed.

“Currently googling: Did my water just break?” she wrote at 4:31 a.m.

Mrs. Diaz-Ortiz posted a photo showing the back of her jacket, which prominently displayed her Twitter handle.

“Contractions 5 minutes apart. My @twitter jacket on. Headed to hospital.”

To add to the chaos, the couple ran into a few snags trying to get to the hospital.

“Car overheating?! Stopping at gas station,” she tweeted at 7:18 a.m. “Car now broken down. On side of road. Need taxi.”

After finally arriving at the hospital AT 10:51 a.m., Mrs. Diaz-Ortiz tweeted a photo of her IV. It wasn’t until 5:33 p.m. that she updated with her newest addition.

“Baby girl born! Now, to bond. (Read: See ’ya in a bit, @twitter),” she wrote.

It didn’t take long for the baby girl, Lucia, to start her own Twitter account.

“I think I liked it better on the other side. #born,” the account read.
