LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A 15-year-old girl is leading an effort to provide survival care kits to the homeless in central Arkansas.

Kelli Suen told KATV (https://bit.ly/PBjPwS ) that she felt a “need to give back” to the community.

Suen is president of the Youth Council at UALR-Children International and has been awarded a Disney Friends for Change grant to create the kits. She and others spent Saturday assembling the kits that include hand sanitizer, washcloths, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, disinfectant wipes, socks, water and a water bottle, tissue and snacks.

She and her team plan to distribute the kits while serving a meal at the Salvation Army in Little Rock on April 11.
