MINOT, N.D. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer has the approval of Republican convention delegates to run for a second term.

The first-term congressman went unchallenged for the endorsement on Saturday in Minot.

Cramer is a former chairman of the state Republican Party and member of the state Public Service Commission. He bypassed the Republican state convention two years ago and allowed five Republican rivals to fight it out for delegates’ endorsement. Their choice, Public Service Commissioner Brian Kalk, lost to Cramer in the June Republican primary.

Last week North Dakota Democrats endorsed U.S. House candidate George B. Sinner, the son of former governor George A. Sinner.
