ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Florida Gators got off to a much better start in the NCAA Final Four than they did in a regional final in the same building last year.
Florida scored the first seven points of Saturday’s national semifinal game against Connecticut at AT&T Stadium.
In the regional final at the massive building last season, the Gators were down 13-0 to Michigan just more than 3 minutes into the game.
Michigan went on to a 79-59 victory, and the Gators lost in a regional final for the third year in a row.
