MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Candidates who were nominated and endorsed Saturday at the North Dakota Republican Party convention in Minot:

NAME: Kevin Cramer

RESIDENCE: Bismarck.

BIRTHDATE: Jan. 21, 1961.

RUNNING FOR: U.S. House.

CAREER: Former state tourism and economic development director. Director of Harold Schafer Leadership Foundation at University of Mary, 2000-2003. Appointed to Public Service Commission in June 2003 by former Gov. John Hoeven. Elected to U.S. House 2012.

EDUCATION: Graduate of Kindred High School. Degree in social work, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn. Master’s degree in management, University of Mary, Bismarck.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Former state Republican Party director and chairman. Ran unsuccessfully for U.S. House in 1996 and 1998, losing both times to incumbent U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D. Cramer defeated Democrat Pam Gulleson in 2012 to replace Rick Berg in North Dakota’s lone U.S. House seat. Berg made an unsuccessful bid for the U.S. Senate.

FAMILY: Wife’s name Kris. Five children.

NAME: Wayne Stenehjem

RESIDENCE: Bismarck.

BIRTHDATE: Feb. 5, 1953, in Mohall.

RUNNING FOR: Attorney General.

CAREER: Private attorney in Grand Forks. Former legislator.

EDUCATION: Graduate of Bismarck High School, 1971. Degree in history, University of North Dakota, 1974. Law degree from UND, 1977.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Served four years in North Dakota House and 20 years in the state Senate. Unsuccessful candidate for Republican support for labor commissioner, 1990. Elected attorney general in 2000.

FAMILY: Wife’s name’s Beth. One son.

NAME: Ryan Rauschenberger

RESIDENCE: Bismarck.

BIRTHDATE: Dec. 6, 1982, in Kenmare.

RUNNING FOR: Tax Commissioner.

CAREER: Former auditor for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Served as the state’s deputy tax commissioner from 2009-2013. Appointed Tax Commissioner by Gov. Jack Dalrymple in November 2013.

EDUCATION: Accounting degree from University of North Dakota. Master’s degree in business administration from University of North Dakota.

POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: This is his first campaign for public office.

FAMILY: Single

NAME: Julie Fedorchak

RESIDENCE: Bismarck.

BIRTHDATE: Sept. 28, 1968.

RUNNING FOR: Public Service Commissioner.

CARREER: Spokeswoman for former GOP Gov. Ed Schafer in the 1990s, and ran a consulting business for a decade after that. North Dakota state director for U.S. Sen. John Hoeven, 2011. Appointed to the PSC in December 2012 by Gov. Jack Dalrymple. Filled the position vacated by U.S. Congressman Kevin Cramer.

EDUCATION: Journalism degree from University of North Dakota.

POLITCAL EXPERIENCE: This is her first campaign for public office.

FAMILY: Husband’s name’s Mike. Three children.
