TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama cornerback Eddie Jackson hurt his knee in practice.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said Jackson would have an MRI Sunday. The sophomore was hurt in Saturday’s scrimmage after going up for the ball and landing awkwardly.

Saban says Jackson is “probably our best corner.” He started four games as a freshman.

Saban says linebacker Reuben Foster didn’t finish the scrimmage because of a neck stinger but should be OK.

Freshman cornerback Tony Brown aggravated a shoulder injury going over a hurdle in track practice recently. Saban says he’s not sure how much more Brown will be allowed to participate in track this spring.

In the quarterback competition, Blake Sims completed 16 for 23 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Cooper Bateman was 14-of-25 passing for 102 yards.
