SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) - Former U.S. Department of Defense Secretary James Schlesinger is being buried this weekend next to his late wife in the Ohio city where she was from.
The Littleton & Rue Funeral Home says Schlesinger’s funeral will be Saturday at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Springfield. Funeral director Rob Kampman says burial will be at the Ferncliff Cemetery.
Schlesinger was a onetime economics professor and nuclear strategist who held a string of Cabinet and other high-level posts through three presidential administrations.
