FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - The Army says a family member of a Fort Wainwright soldier has died.

The Army released few details on the death Thursday night, including the name, gender or age of the military dependent or the nature of the death.

A soldier was treated at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for injuries connected to the incident and released to post criminal investigators for questioning.

No charges were immediately filed.

The Army says other Fort Wainwright or Fairbanks residents are in no danger.

The Army says the name of the dead dependent will not be released until 24 hours after next of kin is notified.
