LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Gov. Rick Snyder is returning from Europe after a weeklong trip focused on the auto industry.
Snyder tells The Associated Press he’s received a “very positive response” from industry representatives in Italy and Germany. He believes there’s a strong opportunity for them to grow their businesses in Michigan.
Snyder and his delegation met with companies such as Fiat and Eissmann Group Automotive, as well as local elected officials. A German 3-D printing company said Wednesday it has chosen Michigan for its first U.S. site after speaking with the governor.
Snyder says he received only two questions from companies about Detroit’s bankruptcy.
