RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Virginia Beach man has been sentenced to 36 years in prison for his role in six bank robberies.

Twenty-one-year-old Carlos McClammy was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Richmond. He previously pleaded guilty to multiple counts that include aiding and abetting bank robbery.

Court records show McClammy admitted to armed bank robberies in March, April and July 2012 in Nassawadox, Jarratt, Midlothian, Wakefield, Stony Creek and Virginia Beach.

McClammy’s co-conspirators, Taleak Harris and Jaquan Douglas, previously pleaded guilty to participating in a total of 11 armed robberies.

Harris was sentenced to nine years in prison and Douglas was sentenced to 36 years in prison.
