SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Some Utah travelers have been delayed after a computer problem Wednesday afternoon stopped planes from departing from Los Angeles.

The Federal Aviation Administration says service has resumed after flights from the region’s airports had been grounded for about 90 minutes amid problems at an air traffic control facility.

Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann says the facility received five flights originally scheduled to land in Los Angeles.

Gann says she does not know how long the problem affected flights scheduled to reach Los Angeles or other planned Salt Lake City takeoffs.

She says the delayed flights are expected to depart starting Wednesday evening but that the queue could move slowly.

Gann advises travelers to check with their airlines for more information.
