PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gubernatorial candidate Gina Raimondo has reported receiving no income in 2013 from the blind trust she set up after deciding to run for public office.
The Democratic treasurer set up the trust in 2010 to handle her holdings in the venture capital firm she founded, Point Judith Capital.
A year ago she reported earning between $200,000 and $500,000 from the trust. But no income from the trust appears in the disclosure statement she filed last week for 2013.
Her spokeswoman, Joy Fox, tells the Providence Journal (https://bit.ly/1frRUeK ) the trust still exists, but provided no income.
Raimondo’s disclosure filings include the receipt of more than $2,800 for out of state travel to give speeches. Providence Mayor Angel Taveres also reported receiving about $2,800 in travel expenses.
