PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a 2-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert in central Arizona has been found and is OK.

Gila River Indian Community police say Eric Warrior Smith Jr. was found Wednesday morning in a minivan parked in a brushy area. The vehicle was spotted by a police helicopter in a reservation area that is located near southwest Phoenix.

Police spokesman Robert Hawks says the 19-year—old woman suspected of abducting the boy has not been located and is not in custody. He says the boy was found alone in the van.

The boy was abducted Tuesday and the minivan was seen late Tuesday traveling at high speed on 51st Avenue. He says that’s what led to the later spotting of the vehicle.
