ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Officials with the Alaska Air National Guard say four men were rescued after their plane crashed at the toe of the Skilak Glacier.

Officials say no one was injured when the Cessna 172 crashed at the glacier, located west of Seward.

The pilot texted family, which notified Alaska State Troopers. Troopers contacted the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center, which sought the National Guard’s rescue squadrons shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say the crash survivors were flown to a hospital and released in good condition at about two hours later.
